Steel Timber Bamboo is the first and only company to import treated Colombian Guadua Angustifolia bamboo from Colombia to Hawaii.
Guadua is used for construction by world renowned bamboo building experts Simon Valez and Joerg Stamm.
By developing methods of building with bamboo which are modern, practical and esthetic, Valez and Stamm are revolutionizing the way the world regards bamboo.
Moreover, bamboo is a much more sustainable resource than any other wood product on this planet.
The guadua bamboo poles we carry were harvested and sold by Inca Indians from an upper elevation Guadua plantation, known for producing the strongest and best quality bamboo in the country.
Guadua bamboo boasts a tensile strength of mild steel and has proven to be harder than oak.
This bamboo comes pre-treated using a non-toxic borax solution, making the poles immediately ready for your use.

All poles are sold in 20-foot lengths ranging in
diameters of 3 inches to 6 inches.
3 inches: $50 each
3 1⁄2 - 4 inches: $60 each
4 1⁄2 - 5 inches: $80 each
